Where Have I Been? Somewhere Between a Map and Mild Madness.

Just a quick update from A Greek Oddity Central

The blog went quiet. I know. I noticed too.

I somehow found myself playing around with a map. I’d intended to map all 62 KTEL intercity bus stations so I’d have all the information to hand in one place. Somehow, I got a bit carried away and ended up mapping all the major Greek public transport systems.

It didn’t end there. Once I had the map, I began to think about other tools that I or other independent travellers in Greece might find useful. Before I knew it, there was a destination finder, an itinerary builder, and, if I couldn’t surprise myself any further, a book! Honestly, you’d think I had too much time on my hands, which couldn’t be further from the truth! My husband is truly wondering if I’m going to pull myself away from the computer anytime soon!

I’ve run the full gamut of emotions since embarking upon this little project. It has been a solitary experience with nobody to bounce ideas off or even to talk me out of this crazy idea. But it’s now done.

The toolkit is finished and is ready to be launched on Wednesday, 1 April, midday GMT.

To show my appreciation for sticking with me over the years and being so supportive of my little blog, I’d like to give you a sneak preview of what the toolkit is all about.

The link below will take you to the landing page, which isn’t yet live on my website. Here you’ll be able to get a better idea of what it’s all about.

Once this craziness has settled down, I’ll be back to doing what I love best – travelling and blogging! (and maybe some other smaller projects in the future too)
